Jacky

I'm Jacky, I have a crazy passion for all things sports. I love the Jays, the Raps, and even the Leafs. I enjoy playing all sports. I was never good enough to go pro in any sports so I did the next best thing; I got my Bachelor of Physical Health and Education at the University of Toronto. I went soul searching in Korea and upon returning to Toronto I knew I wanted to meet and help new people everyday, which is what being an Optician is. What a perfect fit! I've been doing it since 2009. When I'm not an Optician at work, I'm also a certified geek and loves board games, video games and all things Star Wars, I'm a self proclaimed Jedi Master =)

Kinnard

My name is Kinnard, and I'm a spec-a-holic. And a sport-a-holic. By trade I'm an optician and by birth a Taurus. I majored in Economics and Sociology at University of Toronto, but it wasn't nearly as fun as this. I love long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, and well made glasses. Growing up I spent a lot of time outdoors, and so if I'm not in the store you can usually find me painting the town red. Snowboarding, volleyball, bouldering, beer, I love it all.

Shannon

I'm Shannon, a University of Waterloo Science alumna. My fascination of optics laid a natural path towards the world of glasses, contacts and eyeballs. It's a real kick to accessorize faces with spectacles and to help people see in high definition. I'm hilarious...to those odd balls who love their humour super dry. Count on me for brief and blunt speech, but I'll indulge in elaborate word play, too. I just adore a catchy hook, giraffes and the colour yellow. Set me up with an aromatic tea, a lovely book and a solid playlist, and I'll be happy as a clam at high water.

Mia

Hi, I'm Mia! I'm the lab manager at our Bloor location and I love glasses! You can catch me with the oversized or black and gold frames, and I might try to put you in those too. I also speak and understand a couple languages (Korean and Spanish mainly), so that I can communicate the best I can with everyone. In my spare time, if I'm not looking for my next pair of glasses, I'm watching anime/K-dramas, doing my nails, or getting a tattoo.

Haniel

Hi! I'm Haniel, or you can call me Hanie, and I'm the bubbly and all-smiles Student Optician of Glass Monocle. Spectacles that are subtle and minimal are my sort. I express my joy with glasses by singing. Thus, you'll probably catch me singing while fixing or polishing glasses, perhaps while assisting you as well! Doing arts and crafts makes my mind at peace, and going to the beaches makes me feel at home. I love going to spontaneous adventures such as hiking, surfing, or camping. I am known for someone who loves eating too. So, if I'm out and about from work, I'm definitely out there going for an adventure with nature and food.

Peter

I'm Peter, though you can call me 'That tall friendly guy'. Both work for me. I'm proud to bring over 17 years of manufacturing and consultation experience to the table. I enjoy seeing clients happy, and will work hard to show your trust is well placed in me. I have a reputation for being a technical wizard, and always love a new challenge. When I'm not at work, I can be found taking my dogs on long walks, caring for my fish tanks, unwinding with friends, and indulging in delicious foods. I can also be a bit of a nerd, and a deep thinker at times. Get to know me better, and you'll surely find out more.

Angela

Hello, my name is Angela! I received my BFA in 2019 from OCAD U for printmaking. As a glasses wearer since the age of six, I’m passionate in helping others on their journey to finding the perfect pair of eyeglasses for them!I was pulled into the world of optics by chance, but I have always been drawn to it by its ability to bridge the gap between health, fashion, and design. I’m especially enthusiastic about clear vision as some of my hobbies include: spotting cute animals on the street, reading classic literature, and watching garbage reality TV.
